    Postwar Colt revolvers of all sorts stand to gain substantially greater appreciation if one believes in the 'Rising Tide' theory - and how it raises all boats.

    I believe some part of rising prices is actually dollars of shrinking value.

    Alot of people have become millionaires overnight with the Marcellus Shale Gas. People with this kind of money can't even think of enough ways to spend it, so if they like Colts, they would think nothing of spending $6000 for a $1000 gun if they just happened to want it. Maybe that has some impact on why sale prices are going nuts-that and the fact that CD's and saving accounts are paying almost nothing and many are losing their a.. on stock market
