Good book regarding early DA revolvers?

I'm interested in learning more about DA Colt revolvers, in particular, Police positives, Official Police, New Service, etc., especially 1900-1940. I found A History of Colt Revolvers, by Haven/Belden 1978 on ebay for $30 plus shipping. Would this be a good one to start with? I did read through the thread regarding gun library suggestions and most seem geared towards 1911s or SAA. Or if someone knows of a better source about DAs I'd appreciate it. Thanks, John

    These are a good start.

A History of Colt Revolvers, Haven/Belden

The Book of Colt Firearms, R.L. Wilson

The Colt Double Action Snub-Nose (Pocket) Revolver, Gary H. Peer

    Colt's New Service Revolver, Mullen

    Thanks, Joe

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start with the History of Colt Revolvers I saw on ebay and go from there. John
