    I bought a new Ruger

I know this is blasphemy on a Colt forum, but because I am too poor for a new Colt I bought a Ruger SP101 TALO Deluxe model. The one that is all engraveded up real purty. Check it out at the link below.

I got a new SP101 .22 few weeks ago. It's not the TALO edition but I like it too. Ruger has great customer service and they work every time you pull the trigger. I don't own a .22 Diamondback. At the cost of several thousand, I will shoot the Ruger and be happy too. All my Colt money went into single Actions. Nice gun

Ain't nothing wrong with a SP101. I bought in in .357 when they first came out in that caliber. It is one of my favorite carry guns.....There was no shortage of brand new engraved ones in my area a year or so ago. I'm waiting on a used one to pop up at the right price.

I collect, buy, trade and sell Colts especially. I do make it a point to tell my friends that my favorite shooter is a Ruger GP 100. I can hammer barn board nails with it in the morning and 10 ring it in the afternoon at the range.

I keep hearing that but all the Rugers I end up with, as well as all my other guns, must have crooked barrels or something because they can't shoot accurate for anything. I know it has to be the guns.

Agreed about the ambulance chaser barrel markings. It's the one blight on my 44 New Model SBH. Otherwise there's nothing to complain about.

When I bought it at a gun show I even managed to swap the factory grips for some good looking genuine stags.

Anyway, there IS one thing I like a whole lot less than Ruger's barrel stamp. It's what a Browning S/S I used to own said on the barrel - "Made In Japan And Assembled In Korea".

    Lawyers should be stamped
