Jus a temporary mid life crisis ; we all go thru it and regain our senses.
I have been in LE most of my life. Shoot 2- times a week. Also have been collecting out of production firearms of all types. Shooting competitions , reloading etc.
Lately , I noticed a VERY sharp decline in interest towards handguns that I don't (or can't) carry on or off duty.
Starting to look down on my safe queens and look up to Sig's, Glocks Beretta's, 2-3" 38/357 revolvers . All the stuff that I carry and shoot.
I have a lot more pleasure shooting guns I carry.
Am I getting old? Or just getting tired of collecting?

Tastes change. I know for me a few years ago I had more Hot Rods than guns and now I look at them and see "Old" cars. Enjoy what you are passionate about even if it is Polymer.
Jus a temporary mid life crisis ; we all go thru it and regain our senses. It's not an age delimma so much as boredom as to what to collect in guns .... Oh well ?
That's why God invented 'Safes', or other Storage...a nice place to keep things you are not interested in for the time being, or not interested in having at-hand or having with you while out in the World, or to keep things you are fine to forget about for a while, so that later on sometime you can re-discover them with freshness and excitement, like Buried Treasure.
How many times have you sold something and felt stupid about it later? Unfortunately, we don't always get smarter as we grow up.
A lot of times
I just now, feel more pleasure of going shooting a pistol that I put back in the holster when I am done.
Or handguns for target shooting.( My Springfield PC9404 and S&W model 41)
I go though periods where I have zero interest in Colts unless I am shooting it. Then, other times, I'm like a dog in heat.
