    I have often contemplated the number of 1911 A1's that went down in sunk freighters. These firearms were typically packed in cosmoline in sealed drums. What a find that would be....

    Hey, isn't that guy the Reaper?? If he (or anyone) appeared in my presence with a weapon as ugly as that Picatinny Nightmare, I'm sure my inner gun-nut soul would immediately flee the building and seek refuge in Hell!

    In Walter Lordīs book "The last night of the Titanic" the author narrates several histories from passengers that survived.

    I remember one of a man who took only a few oranges and his handgun (I donīt remember if it was a revolver) before jumping into the cold sea.

    Those passengers were rescued by RMS Carpathia if I remember correctly.
