Don't even wanna count how many I've bought since then.![]()
In 1968 I bought a used Colt Detective and traded it for a Colt Cobra. Both were ear splitters. I traded the Cobra and boot for a NIB 2nd Gen SAA in 38 Special. I owned it for many years. This is my first Colt, a Police Positive Special .38 from 1928. I bought it in 2003. It was my second handgun, the first being a Ruger Single Six.

OCTOBER 13, 1960. A new COLT HUNTSMAN 4 1/2" 22 autoloading pistol from my Daddy for my sixteenth birthday. It is retired today with over 65,000 rounds though it.
Began shooting a COLT Trooper .357 Magnum in 1971 loaned to me and eventually
purchased by me. Wore that gun out and had to replace some parts. Absolutely loved that gun.
Shot very well with it and out shot most of the officers on our local PD using S&W's and the
COLT National Match. It was great times.
I didn't get my first Colt until about 15 years ago when I was shooting Bullseye. A custom R.L Shockey wadcutter gun built from a pre-70s series commercial Government Model.
