No finish on the frame may normal if this is an early Duo-Tone Scout. Gun is in rough shape no doubt. However, I give the seller credit in that there is no trying to hide any of the finish problems.

I`d say his asking price is about double what it`s actually worth.
But the old scouts are great shooters. Would make a good truck gun if you could get it at a reasonable price.

It would meet NRA Good is classified as an antique where corrosion and pitting are allowed but not so as a modern firearm. So the seller believes and rates it as antique?It's a $100 gun to me that I'd apply Kroil cleaning and lube techniques then stow in a tackle box, if I fished which I don't

I have one that's in a little better shape than that one --->not the prettiest thing to look at, but it's definitely a fun gun to shoot.
