Pawn Stars Rick is an idiot

Well, at least as far as his knowledge of antique guns and their use in history goes. He just said that the Remington New Model Army was used by Eastwood in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (it was Van Cleef, Clint used a Navy conv.). The other day he said that Hickok was killed with a S & W No. 1 (it was an SAA) Every time someone brings in an old gun, he screws it up somehow. You would think he'd have better script writers. The whole lot of them are morons IMO. Rant Over....

Frankly, I'm embarrassed to admit knowing anyone close to this dumb show, but I will confess that it puts me to sleep some evenings ...

anyway, I've heard from 'insiders' that the whole show is a total set-up, with shills off the street recruited and rehearsed and given their items of the day to pawn.

Also, the "STARS" now only occasionally show up at the store for anything but filming .....

but that's Hollywood in Vegas I guess (((shrugs shoulders)))

I stopped watching TV in the mid 1990s, having watched it very, VERY little ever...but, by then, I had seen enough, and, just stopped completely.

I decided that even the few things which seemed m-a-y-b-e to be something more than mind rot, really weren't, so, that was that.

The Pawn Shop which became 'Pawn Stars' is about two Blocks due East from my old Shop, and, I used to go there in the 1980s and early to mid 1990s, and I bought a few items there over those years. The older guy who ran things then was an alright fellow, and, I used to run into him at Yard Sales or the Flea Market also. He even bought a few things from me when I had a Yard Sale one time.

Being Hollywierd TV ya know it's scripted...need to keep them ratings up with off the wall stuff coming into the shop yanno ....at least the guys writing the dialogue could do better investigative work and get the facts correct. Chumly is the only guy on the show that looks and acts like he probably is so no reason to script his part
