Welcome, I see you came in out of the rain for some quality Colt time! Enjoy!
Hi just joined after lurking for a couple of months. I have (actually my wife has) a Colt Diamondback, 4" Nickel .38 her dad gave her. I'm working on cleaning it up now. It is a '78 model I presume from the Proofhouse site as the serial number is R010XX. I don't think it has ever been fired. It does have some rust on one side from sitting in a pistol rug for thirty years. It's on the edge of the trigger guard. The windage adjustment screw was also frozen but I have freed that up with a little Kroil and some careful brushing.
There is no box or paperwork and so we've decided to just shoot it and keep it as the bedroom defense gun. I also have a 3" S&W 65-2 that I bought new in '82 and just purchased a Ruger LCR with CT grips for EDC.
I've enjoyed reading the posts here. Thanks!

Welcome from Michigan. Have a lot of fun here.
Does that Diamondback really exist without photos for us to peruse?
Stay safe,
