Welcome to the forum and Glad to have you here!
What an awesome forum. As you can see I am a new member and am having trouble curbing my enthusiasm. Found this forum while searching for some information on my latest addition to my Colt stable. Picked up a Huntsman last weekend at the Ohio Gun Collectors Association and what a remarkable pistol. Gun started out to be a tack driver, but soon started loosing accuracy. Noticed that the fron sight was a little askew, due to the barrel being loose. Tightened it back into position and was very accurate again. While playing with it found that I can turn the barrel about 90 degrees ( loosen ) and back to the norman tightened position. Is a loose barrel common with Huntsman's, Is this something that can be fixed by disassembly and using a thread locker or is a visit to a gunsmith in order.
Thanks for looking and thanks for the forum.
Tony

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit such crimes... such laws make things worse for the assualted and better for the assailants: they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare BeccariaNRA Life Member

can't help on the huntsman, but welcome to the forum from fayette co. oh.
Update on the Huntsman, Called Colt, They no longer support the these models, however gave me a couple of gunsmiths that do still work on these guns. After talking to one of the smiths at Jack First, decided to unscrew the barrel, clean it up, and apply some locktight. 24 Hrs later this little colt is once again blowing walnuts apart 15 yards, Will try a longer range this weekend.
Tony.
