    New guy from MD

Well I put my deposit on my first handgun today (here in MD we have to wait 7 days because our politicians sniffed glue and ate lead paint as kids), and seeing as it is a Colt I thought it appropriate to join this forum.

My first handgun that I purchased was none other than a Colt Police Positive in .32 S&W Long. It's been refinished in nickel and maybe has 50-60% left (I won't feel bad getting it replated or shooting it) and is tighter than a crab's butt. It's a 739XX serial number which makes it a late 1909 model.

The owner of the shop, I guess a bit excited to see a 21 year old kid buying a 100 year old gun, proceeded to let me fondle his personal 1911 (not an A1, original 1911 with the biting hammer) made in 1920. Definitely made my day.
I like my bullets in a circle, not a staggered line.

Welcome to the forum. Your Police Positive can be an enormous amount of fun to shoot. Ask me how I know. I've owned one for years and just love to take it to the range. It's mild report and recoil make it one of the easiest guns I've had the pleasure of shooting. Good first choice!

When I pick it up I'll be taking it to the range with a Beretta M1935. I get to have a .32 kind of day.

    Welcome to the Forum!

Well, unless it is a Harley Ironhead, then you really can go wrong! I was so annoyed by that bike I called it "a pile of parts that almost work." I'm actually looking at an '05 Yamaha V-Star 1100, wasn't planning on grabbing a bike but I stopped by the local dealer to BS about the new 2012 models and check out a Triumph Bonneville and Speedmaster. Over in the corner they had that used V-Star with 2577 miles for $4500! It's dark silver with lighter silver ghost flames, lots of chrome, sissy bar, etc. Thing fit me like a glove too, very hard to argue with such a nice, low mileage bike for a price like that.
