Welcome from Texas weldernewt53. Great forum for all things Colt, have fun, learn lots, share what you know. Wish I could help you but am unable to do so.
Has anyone been able to contact Mike Heffron at Heffron Firearm Classics. I am unable to contact by phone or email. He has repeatedly stated my colt trooper would be shipped but I have yet to get any info or shipping info. His web sight offers news of a family tragedy but after so many weeks of a said ship date nothing seems to be happening. Any info would be greatly welcome.

I wish I had a magic bullet for your problem but all I have are hollow points.
There is a thread about this problem.
Hope this thread helps and you get that Trooper. When you do, come back and post a pic of it for us. Welcome.

I feel I too may have such issues with Mr. Heffron My trooper was sent in May of this year with the understanding that the action would be tuned , crane lock installed and swedging done to tighten up cylinder play. The work was done by June but when I test fired my revolver it f-t-f on double action. After contacting Mike he assured me the problem would be corrected, with a quick turn around. Well this is November and after numerous emails and no answers on the phone I am really worried I might lose my revolver. I live about 3 hrs. from him and have been advised to go and see if I can get it back. This also worries me a little too. I guess if I get no results legal action will have to be taken.
Welcome to the Forum! I hope you get things resolved soon.

hi weldermret53. i read those links about Mr.Heffron. wow, tough situation.
seldom is heard a discouraging word
Have you had any luck getting your gun back? I have the same problem. He's had my revolver since May. Said it was done in June but can't get it back. Noticed today that his website is now gone (or down). I'm going to start looking for a local attorney. It will cost me, but I am not comfortable with a firearm registered to me that I cannot get back.
I had a colt woodsman match target worked on by Mike Heffron. I know he ran into some medical problems and was falling far behind on his work. Last I remember (6 months or so ago) he was not taking on any new work until he was caught up.
Please keep us posted on what happens in your case.
