Hi Lou! Nice to meet you; welcome to the Forum, glad you're here.
Hello, I'm new to the forum but an experienced shooter, reloader, and NRA instructor/coach. I'm into all kinds of shooting and only moderately good at any of them! Main interest at the present time is getting back into NRA highpower shooting, but I'm also a handgun enthusiast. In my opinion, plinking is the most underrated form of entertainment on the planet! I also hunt, fish, camp, canoe, hike, and maintain my own house and cars.
Now for my "Colt connection". I own just a few Colts, including:
1) A 4" Colt King Cobra revolver in .357 magnum, circa early 90's.
2) A Colt Combat Elite 1911 45ACP circa '93.
3) An Argentine Colt 1911 45ACP which I obtained in 1990 and had modified for use in my intro into NRA Bullseye shooting (adjustable Millett sights, flared and lowered ejection port, new barrel and springs, new hammer/sear, and re-blued). It's definitely just a shooter, but it's in pretty nice shape since the re-blue, and I use it to introduce folks to the 1911 platform when I instruct handgun classes.

Welcome to the forum Lou. We're happy to have you join the ranks and look forward to any wisdom you can impart. As you're such a busy guy with your hobbies I reckon it's out of the question asking for help with the horses?. You are so right about shooting as a form of entertainment, not to mention a terrific stress reliever.

I am a sheepdog!
I wish I had a magic bullet for your problem but all I have are hollow points.
Hello to all and greeting from New Jersey. I'm new to the Colt Forum but have admired Colts since my Father carried one as a police officer. A lot of years later, I also carried a Colt and my Father's badge, as a policeman with the same department. I'm retired now but still have the same feelings whenever I'm around any kind of Colt. They are like pieces of history to me. I'm glad to have learned about this Fourm and look forward to learning and exchanging with other members.
Welcome to the Forum!...To both of You! Glad to have you here.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit such crimes... such laws make things worse for the assualted and better for the assailants: they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare BeccariaNRA Life Member
