well let me welcome you here Emanon! sounds as if you're a gutsy one at that! again welcome!
To all who read these words, greetings.
Just joined today, 11/11/11.
Someone posted a wonderful nickel sawed-off revolver on another forum where I hang out a bit, and it got right in amongst me. The poster mentioned this site, so I came in to look around. I've been fixated on Fitzed revolvers ever since I saw the first pic, maybe a year ago, and this site, with its hacksaw thread (which I just found today) just blew me away.
So I had to sign on.
I'm almost ashamed to admit that I only own one Colt (so far) - an early Detective Special, nicely worn. But I've been looking at New Service revolvers on GB for a while, for one that had been suitably cut down, or suitable candidates for metal surgery. So it shouldn't be too long before I get in over my head. Again.
I was really impressed with what folks here have the nerve to do with their hacksaws. That was what pushed me over the edge and got me to sign on.
Looking forward to learning a whole lot, and drooling over the pictures of what youall have gone and done.

I've been so fixated on the revolver issue that I didn't even remember to mention my two first series Woodsmans; a six-inch and the 4.5 inch Woodsman Sport.
So with three Colts I can stand a bit taller.
Welcome from Texas Emanon. Great forum for all things Colt, have fun, learn lots, share what you know. It was a New Service revolver in 2009 that brought me here and since that event I have added four (4) additional Colt revolvers to the family. They are very addictive these Colts.

I wish I had a magic bullet for your problem but all I have are hollow points.
Welcome to the Forum!
