New member come a long way .... (Belgium)

Hi all, I thank you kindly welcome me among you, but I would also like to apologize for not knowing English well (I speak french), so I use a translator to communicate with you and I beg your indulgence.
I know I have much to learn from you and I say thank you again for your welcome.

Bonjour, LUC, and welcome to Coltforum!

Here, there are many experts on all things Colt (Not me; I just like Colts, but I am no expert), fine gentlemen who are willing to share their expertise with others who are also interested in Colt firearms.

I hope you enjoy your time here, as I do.

It has been 42 years since I visited Belgium, but only 6 weeks since I was last in Paris.

Here, in USA, we may freely own firearms in most cases.

What is firearm ownership like in Belgium? Difficult? Highly regulated?

Hello, to answer your question, yes here is very strict regulations, we have no second amendment here unfortunately.
One who want to own guns must have a lot of patience, and pass theoretical and practical examinations.
I envy you so much for the freedom you have about weapons.
But that does not stop me from practicing his passion for 26 years now.

Welcome to the forum. Always glad to meet new friends. This is the most informative place on earth for colt information. Many very knowledgable people here who can answer almost anything you would wish to ask about Colt firearms.

    Welcome to the Forum!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit such crimes... such laws make things worse for the assualted and better for the assailants: they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria NRA Life Member
