    Smile Tzepora1

Just joined from Ypsilanti Michigan. I am a distinguished pistol shot and am gathering revolvers to become distinguished in revolver. I had help with weapons and ammo while in the Army now I have joined the tax payers and have to buy guns and ammo
Looking for informaiton on Colt gunsmith in the Metro Detroit area.

Can anyone tell me about the quality difference between a Colt Officer Match .22 and the first series of the Trooper .22. I read that the quality and fit of the internal parts was the issue

Welcome to the forum. The original Trooper 22 caliber was made only in a 4" barrel as it was intended as a training "companion" for the 38 Special version. One might read that the Officers Model Match was superior in fit and finish, but the parts and action were the same and in those days, I don't believe you could really distinguish any significant workmanship difference. These days are another story.

hi Tzepora! it's nice to have you. being a distinguished pistol shot is a fine achievement. i have an officers model target from the early thirties in 22lr, not a bad revolver at all. i'm guessing that the ones that you're refering to are more for combat type games though.
