Hi BCB, nice to 'meet' you; welcome to the forum.
Joining the forum to learn how to be a better collector. I have a very small collection of Woodsman Match Targets and looking to expand my personal collection of other Colt firearms, some for shooting, others just to appreciate for what they are. Heard too many stories of people being taken advantage of by lack of information so figured better to learn from the people in the know. Most of my firearms are ones I hunt with so the collection aspect is new. Live in the Charlotte area.

Welcome to the Forum, BCB! I'm a newbie myself. Tho I'm a long-time Colt owner, I'm amazed at what I didn't know about things Colt. You will learn it all. Don't be shy to share and ask questions. This is a warm, friendly & congenial place.
PS: My son is posted not too far from you at Ft. Bragg. He's with the 82nd Airborne Division & just LOVES the serene NC beauty and Southern culture. He's talked of staying in "Naw C'lina" if/when he gets out of the Army.

North Carolina is nice indeed. I've lived here 8 years and it has a lot to offer in my opinion.
Welcome to the forum BCB, I too, have just moved from middle TN to the Wilmington area of NC.![]()
Welcome to the forum. It is definitely the best forum to learn about Colts. We all have been taken advantage of if you buy many guns. Good luck building your collection.
welcome to the colt forum.the place for a good colt education.
[QUOTE=big_gus;309545]Welcome to the Forum! Im not but a couple of hours away up the road from you, Welcome![/QUOTEThank you for the note.
Do you happen to know of any upcoming gun shows in the area where a good showing of Colts might be present? I'm looking for a couple of 6" blue pythons to start my revolver collection, one to shoot and another to just hold, like everyone else it seems. I've been looking through gunbroker but really prefer to find one in person if possible. Thanks.
Welcome from Eastern NC , BCB. I saw a 1951 Woodsman with box listed on Guns International (you can see pics of it) that's in a local gun shop in Jamesville, NC. I'm a Single action collector so don't know if its a deal or a hard-to-find gun, but this is the forum to ask the "fellers" on opinions, which end not to look into (referring to guns) , etc.
The next best thing to a gun is a picture of a gun on here.
