    New here, buying a Python so I'm here looking for advice :)

    Hello, this is my first time on this forum so I stopped in here first to introduce myself. Name is Brian and I live west of Nevada in a really crappy spot for a gun collector. Anyhow... I got a call from a friend who is hurting for money and wants to sell his Colt Python. I collect old Military rifles and have a few SIGs, 1911s, etc, but haven't recognized to many symptoms of a revolver addiction, YET. So I got a few pictures of this revolver and I want to know if anyone can give me any more info on it. I will post it up in the appropriate area and see if anyone can offer some advice.

    I am active on Gunboards and a few other forums, but my usual username was taken :/

    Welcome aboard the Forum, BrokeGunner! I lived in that place "west of Nevada" from '72-'77. A truly beautiful land with such a variety of natural beauty, including the female type. Firearms restrictions were rather Draconian even back then, but I am horrified by what's been happening there of late. Afraid I'm not much help with wheelguns, except that you won't/can't go wrong with a Colt. You'll get plenty of help from the Forum guys, tho.
