    Greetings from South Carolina

I found your forum yesterday, did a little lurking, and seem to have found an answer to a question I had on my Ma's old DA Colt 22. Thanks!

I'm a member of the NRA & GOA. 67 years old and still kickin'. I CWP a Ruger SR9 in a shoulder rig. My wife, even though she's wheelchair bound CWP's a Tarus .380 in a belly pack. She's paralyzed on her left side, but that right hand is steady, and she's one heck of a shot.

Since shooting that lilttle Colt mentioned above, I've been looking into buying a SA revolver, and am leaning towards Colt, in a 45 cal. Any suggestions for an old man with time on his hands and my own property to shoot on?

    Thanks all,

    Pete

2AinSC, welcome from Eastern North Carolina. I started collecting Colt SAA 1st and 3rd generations last year. 45LC is the most popular caliber and the easiest to sell or trade if so desired. Kid Sopris and several other members can tell you where to look for a new one. They are hard to find at the local gun shops. Colt makes great guns, but they don't make them fast. They can be bought online too. Before you buy a Colt, post links and/or pictures so as to get the best deal.. or to not get got .

Thanks, folks. New isn't mandatory. Just solid and safe.

And, greetings from Ohio, 2AinSC! SOOOOO great to hear BOTH you & little Wifey carry for self-defense. My little bride finally saw the light couple months ago & now we both are "packing." We feel so much safer in Wally Mart now. I am a semi-auto guy myself, but you've come to the right place for help & advice on both autos & revolvers. And don't be shy about asking & offering. Welcome aboard!

    I have a new thread, [h=3]1922 Police Positive?[/h]
That shows pictures of my Ma's old Colt Police Positive 22cal, and my Pop's old Remington single shot 22cal rifle. I'm in the process of restoring them both. Hope you enjoy, and any info you have on either one will be appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forum!
