Here is a fairly rare 30's era Colt BAR R75 with flash hider.
I'm presently seeking some FOIA info on it. This is a blast
to shoot, but heavy to carry.

That's correct on the FOIA, I've got this info on all of my MG's except for the last two I bought. It's really not
detailed with most of the names marked out in black marker, but it does show what type of transfers the gun had
and dates of transfer. The Colt Monitor with 18" barrel and Cutts compensator:

Among the most fabulous items ever to appear on the Forum here.

What a treat to see...

However did you find it? ( if you don't mind saying? )

I do not think I have ever even seen one in real Life...and I have been to a lot of Gun shows through the years.

In the early 1990s here, in Las Vegas, someone had one for $3,000.00 ( I think it was ), said to be a 1920s Commercial "BAR", made by Colt, "Blue" and in cosmoline and Brown Paper.

I was too poor, and, too uncertain of formalities for owning such a Rifle, so I never even did go and look.

Now I wish I would have at least gone and looked!

Both of these guns are super rare, they occasionally show up on sites like Subguns or Sturm and other Class III sites. I think that
most of these buys are by word of mouth through gun clubs and forums like this. Since there so rare, they are priced out of reach of the average
collector. The combined value of both guns is around $150,000 on a good day.

I hope to be improving my photography skills and will have some better pics of my collection soon. Of course, owning these type guns
has it's peculiarities as in dealing with Big Brother from time to time. The ATF has scheduled a meeting with me at my home tomorrow, that will be
interesting I'm sure.
