Nice group. I'm a late bloomer to percussion revolvers but picked this Uberti up last year with all this stuff with it. It's a blast to shoot but caps are hard to put on even with that tool. Since I see a repro Remington in your pic, I won't feel like I'm contaminating real Colts by showing this one.

    Thumbs up Colt Picture repros

    Nice Colt

I also have a 1851 .36 Navy brass framed which is a very nice gun but a bit slack as the brass frame has distorted a bit.

The little Root is great but with a 3.5 inch barrel hard to shoot over 25 yards she shoots 24 inchs high at 20 yards so if I aim at the knees should get a centre of mass hit .I use 17 grs BP so she is quite lively.

Note the NMA loading lever is kept in place be a plastic tie -I note that one of our members has a Walker repro and on each firing the lever drops as well

The 1862 nice to shoot but is prone to jams and mis-fires due to cap framents jamming the action -something the Root does not suffer with as the side hammer action is fully enclosed ..Regards Mick
    Kind regards

I don't have a real Colt BP gun yet but I do have a set of these old scratched-up Pietta Colt 1860 Army "Old Silver" repros. that are alot of fun to shoot...

    Have fun and be safe.

Considering the cost, value, and irreplacability of Colts, a lot of us own and shoot replicas. I own several.
