Twaits,I just used photobucket for my WTS DS and had no problems.I do crop my images befor I upload to photobucket this seems to help quite a bit.
I'm having some trouble with the new photo gallery. It seems a little confusing. Can we get a sticky on how to use this?
I know I've already PMed admin about this but I tried to post a picture in a thread using the photo gallery and it posted it tiny. We used to be able to post nice big pics from photobucket, now when I try to post pics directly from photobucket it is telling me the images are too big. Personally, I don't need a photo gallery here. I already have one at photobucket. That worked great and wasn't confusing.

If you keep doing what you always did you will always get what you always got
Here's a test. I uploaded this picture with a smaller DPI into photobucket. Maybe that will do the trick.

Okay, that's a little better. I guess you just click on the thumbnail to make it bigger. I can live with that.
Test to see if the same way I've always done it still works.

Thanks but I got a little more than that in it but I do have the box, paperwork and original price tag.
Reminds me of a true story on my next door neighbor. Two sisters from a wealthy family inherited an Ohio River front lot in what became a very pricey section. A realtor had offered them $5000 for the lot several years prior to them being ready to sell. The ground appreciated considerably in the meanwhile. When the sisters decided to sell, they called the realtor that made the original offer and asked him if he'd still pay $5000. He did.

Heres another test. I noticed that I can make photos work from photobucket but they are tiny now. I'm going to see if I can post directly from my computer and see if the image will work. I'm going to guess no before I even start...

Okay..still tiny in the post but at least you can click on it and make it bigger so I guess that will work. I noticed that a lot of other members photos post large but mine no longer do. I'm assuming it's a difference in cameras coupled with the new site.
Going to try one from my old camera now.
Okay..this was literally 3 minutes after I posted the one above and now I have the old style prompt to upload from a URL with no option to do it from my computer. Are there gremlins in the coltforum now??!!

I'll open a new window and try it...

Okay...that worked with an image from the new camera but not the old. Now when I try to add an image to the post by editing the post, the old style prompt that only allows a URL comes up. So let me try to post something from a URL in this post as well:
Okay! There's the large image I was looking for and it didn't say the image was too large. SO what I have to do to post a large image is to make a post and post it, then go back in using "edit post" and the old URL prompt comes up and it posts the pics exactly like it used to.
That's awesome........until they change it again![]()

One more test using "post" then "edit post" using the image of the pearl handled M&P
There! I found my "gun showing" loophole. Now please don't change anything! This works even if it's a little screwy.
