Not Colts, but still nice finds at an auction

Sometimes it pays to go to farm auctions, never know what you might find. Was raining and not many people there to run up the prices. And there were a couple of nice little rimfires there that were just begging for a good home.
Got the model 63 Winchester for $300. Not as great as it sounds. It`s one of the Jap made ones from the late 90s, not one of the originals. But still not a bad deal.
Got the custom Ruger 10/22 for $175. Looks to be set up as a take down gun, but have not tried to pull it apart yet. Will have to dig up some rings and a scope to see how well it shoots.

That sure is an interesting 10/22. Is there a maker's name on the barrel. I've never seen a half round/half octagonal barrel for a 10/22. Neat find.

It`s a .920 diameter Butler Creek round barrel that someone has milled half octagon and then gave it a nice hot blue job.
I`m sure it wasn`t sold that way because some of the barrel markings were milled off in the process.

They're very nice, Mike. You got good deals on both of them, enjoy!
