    Swamprat Stock Restoration Rocks !!

Sent some well used stocks to Swamprat for restoration. He's an artist of the highest caliber. Thank you Hugh for one SUPERB job sir.

    Before:Colt Stocks2 (383x640).jpgColt Stocks3 (383x640).jpg After:Stock1 (475x800).jpgStocks2 (475x800).jpg

I can only include 5 pictures so settled for 4 (for now). My photography does NOT do them justice.

Now the question is, do I put these beauties on the '68 Trooper or the '78 Python (Nickeled)

What a wonderful job. So very jazzed.

Excellent and thanks for sharing. I have had Hugh do several sets over the years and they have all turned out great.

Sending my Python service stocks off of my 2 1/2 inch out tomorrow to the master, so I can put them on my gun when Colt gets done re-bluing it. Man, I am like a kid at Christmas, and the its only summer!

After Hugh removes the needed wood to re-checker, is the grip noticeably smaller?

He restored a set of stocks for me that I thought were a lost cause. Finish completely gone and checkering mostly worn off. Now they look almost new.

I have big mitts but I can't tell any noticeable difference whatsoever. I don't know how Hugh does his magic but he's "Da Man" in my book.
