Absolutely beautiful. Congrats on a great find.
Was lucky to find this last month before I went on vacation at my local gun store. It's the 1st year they made this in .22 LR. It came with Franzite target grips which, although functional, covered up the pretty prancing Pony. Thanks to user dback13, I have obtained the original type stocks and installed them today!

Very nice! I have one from 1933 - they shoot great you will enjoy it. Congratulations.
Very nice, I am looking for one myself.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit such crimes... such laws make things worse for the assualted and better for the assailants: they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare BeccariaNRA Life Member
I had a really nice one from 1940 and sold it awhile back...so I remedied the situation with another, post-war version. It's been back to Colt for a "tune-up" (clean and retime) and I added some Roper-style stocks by Keith Brown. A superb shooter (and nice to look at, too). It's pictured below the OP HB.
