Is it time for some Officer's Model photos? Please post yours. This one is Bright Stainless. I picked it up as a companion piece to my Bright Stainless Gold Cup National Match.
Update for current ACP's stocks (Buffalo Bone with embedded emblem) and posed with Officer's Model .22.................
Here's my latest "Colt Officer's Model". A target-sight .22 LR with three digit serial number. Colt dated it for me at 1930. It is one of the first 2nd generation OM's made. A nice Gunbroker transaction; in great shape for 81 years old! (Right click on photo and select 'view image' to see larger format photo.)
Here is what I think I know about it. I have found conflicting info.
It is a limited production run. Officer slide on a commander frame. 3 guns in the series.
1) 1985 (or 1987?) stainless 500 made. General Officers model
2) 1988 blue, 365 made Commanding Officer Model
here is a thread I started on it. http://www.coltforum.com/forums/col...king-info-colt-commanding-officers-model.html
3) 9mm, 1990, alloy frame, 500 made, Lt. Commander model. (or 800 made in 1985 depending on who you read) Colt Lieutenant Commander
If someone can point me to accurate info, it would be appreciated.
Here's one I just picked up, matte blue with synthetic ivories, made in 1988.
