    1915 Government Model

    I thought I'd share pictures of my 1915 Government Model with its period (1910 - 1920) Heiser Holster. The gun was a 1 of a shipment of 2 to Janney, Semple, Hill and Company., a wholesale hardware firm in business from 1866 to 1956. I like these early Government Models as well as the early Model 1911s.







    Shown below with a 1916 vintage Win. Model 1895 Carbine. These civilian .45 ACP autos were a favorite back up side arm with many hunters.

    Thanks guys. I meant to post the following picture. The 95 is chambered for 30 Government Caliber (30-40 Krag). I think it may still be the case that after the 44 Winchester round, more deer have been taken with the 30-40 than any other caliber.
