    Cool My Colt Pythons!

So I've only been collecting for 1.5 years. I finally finished my scopes ones (I only consider Pythons that are in the book). Now I have a Hunter, Ten Pointer, Silhouette (all with case and accessories and paperwork!), Nickel Python Target, Blue Python Target, and Nickel Pythons in 2.5", 4", 6". I want to eventually collect one of everything that's in the book. That means I have the Ultimate and Elite to go in all inches and finishes (blue & nickel), an 8" Nickel, a 2.5", 4", 6", and 8" in blue. And then I'll think about tackling those freaking arm & leg 3" ones. Ugh.

    Collects likes this.

Hi, I am new to the forum. I recently was referred to a gal selling her father guns. I picked up a barely used nickel Python 8” 38 special, thought I might get back in to silhouette shooting. In looking for a scope mount found that this is a rather limited (251 gun) item. Does it have collector value or should shoot it? I fired 3 cylinders of wad cutter at 25m off hand with all in 10 ring, with 3 of 6 shots in one hole (twice).

Also, I am not a SAA collector but also purchased from her unfired boxed 3rd gen .44 Spec. 7.5” color case because it looked great, and unfired 2nd gen. 125th Ann. with elephant ivory grips (no box). While these look great there doesn’t seem to be much interest in these in my area. Are these hard to sell?

Hmmm. A bit off topic, but since you brought it up... here's my two cents: While some would have a thing against 3rd generations, and some may have a thing against commemoratives, I guarantee you someone somewhere is interested. Don't mistake lack of buyers as lack of value. Just have to find right buyer. Gunbroker or other online locales (such as this forum), is a great place to find a buyer.

Congratulations, jcbrown04, and thanks for showing us your collection! Nicsco, there is no such thing as "... waaaaaaay too much cash on hand," and no such thing as owning too many Colts!
