I like that it's an early DS. I like the finish. I like the stocks. Oh, OK, I guess I really, really LIKE it. HA! Really nice Detective Special, thanks for posting!

But didn't the French make a better snubnose revolver a while back?

A bit of history about the French. They fought 62 wars lost 61 and won 1. That is when they beat the French during the French revolution.

There's no data on whether they were accurate, but they could withstand being thrown down repeatedly. And, you must admit the corkscrew and lighter were nice extras.

I travel to France at least once a year, and my French friends are jealous (or outraged, as the case may be) that I can legally own and carry a firearm in USA.

Next trip (later this month), I will see if I can buy a French revolver with a corkscrew built into it, and bring it home with me! If I cannot open the wine with the corkscrew, I can then simply shoot the neck off of the bottle. Can you imagine a surly French waiter with a revolver-corkscrew and having a bad day?!?!?!? Mon Dieu! Sacre bleu! Yikes! LOL.

Colt made the finest revolvers, and the French make the finest wine, IMHO, so I like Colt revolvers and French wine.
