    "Godfather" Assassin Handguns

    I might be wrong about these but in my mind these remind me of the guns used by the two guys who tried to whack Don Corleone when he was buying fruit on the street. A 1934 Beretta .380 and a 1917 vintage Colt P.P. 38 S&W. Maybe I'll watch the movie again and see for sure.

    I like them both.
    I can't remember anymore what guns the hitters used in that scene.

    The one I always remember is the post war Chiefs Special or Terrier Mike Corleone used in basement scene with Clemenza and in the restaurant scene to shoot the "The Turk" Salatzio and the police captain.
    That gun had the S&W post war ramp front sight, no doubt about it.

    Hello, I too remember the basement scene...But when I read the book..it was a .22...with "special" bullets??

    The Berretta is definitely correct. I'm not sure what the other guy had. I've kind of wanted one of those Berrettas ever since I became addicted to the Godfather. I may go to Gunbroker right now and see what they are selling for
