that is a fine one my friend. was out yesterday and today as well myself, (it's been nice here), popping off that very load.
My very first handgun:
1920 Colt Officer's Model in 38 Special. Probably nothing truly outstanding - but I think pretty good for a 91-year-old gun. A lot of the blueing is gone from the barrel and in bright light appears brownish. Otherwise the gun appears VERY good to me and the rest of the blueing is intact. Bought it to have something different (and to shoot targets with). Certainly has a nice trigger. Can't wait to try it out this weekend. Unfortunately we are having a "monsoon" right now with Saturday being the only sunny day predicted.
New photos here and more included in later post

Those are such wonderful and high quality in every way Revolvers.
Thankyou!
Since both my wife and I are brand new to handguns - but we already know we like to shoot bullseye targets (with rifles), we plan to try to follow shooting instructions found as the "Pistol Markmanship Guide" put out by the US Army Markmanship Unit.

Any other tips or suggestions for true handgun newbies - interested in target shooting and with no habits yet (good or bad)?
