    Gun room coffee tabels

Just thought it might be interesting to see various gun room coffee or display tabels. Show us what you have. This is ours:

    Wow!

I still live in a somewhat 'iffy' Neighborhood...so, for me, any Firarms I have are not on premisis and or are not likely to be found if things are burglarized while I am out.

I do have a pal who I have not seen in a while, who got into SAA Colts back in the 1940s and '50s, and his whole House, the Walls are just covered with them as well as that he has a Coffee Table about as yours...he is in an old House with his wife and, his Neighborhood is pretty alright...but, still gives me some pause for worry for him and his Treasures.

Absolutely beautiful. I fear my collection wouldn't hold a candle to that, and not look even anywhere near as nice under glass. How the heck do you get guests to pry themselves away from looking at those treasures to even talk to you?

I'd have to have a sign that says: "In case of emergency, break glass!"

    Very nice collection.

Now THAT is a "coffee" table. I wish we lived in an environment where we could display anything without West Texas red silt invading it. Bad enough with a few 4 legged critters inside to de-hair furniture daily . I'm gonna have dreams about your table. Thanks for sharing that work of art.

I used to keep revolvers in mine, but it gets moved around too much with sweeping and moping the floor and I was worried the guns would bump and scratch each other. So, I now keep a few of my inscribed Civil War corps badges and identifications discs ("dog tags") in the table.

For those of you who do not know, during the time of the Civil War the government did not provide dog tags, thus it was each soldiers responsibility to provide his own means to identify his body if he was killed. This was often done via privately purchased badges, etc. Here's a picture of the table and a close-up of one of the corp badges and an identification disc.

    John Gross

This is the Trefoil Corp Badge of the 2nd Corps, Army of the Potomac, inscribed to John M. Rhorer of the 1st Minnesota Infantry. Rhorer was wounded twice during the war, in the head at First Bull Run, and the hand at Gettysburg.

This is the identification disc of Samuel H. Seward, 14th Connecticut Infantry. Seward was wounded three times. First in the knee at Fredericksburg, the abdomen at Gettysburg, and at The Wilderness in the left arm, requiring amputation.

It's raelly awesome, an amazing collection of guns. I didn't have that much detail knowledge about guns but it's looking very nice indeed.

Very impressive collection! You must be able to control your environment to display your guns like you do. Around here, the display space would probably end up filled with spilled beer!
