Congratulations! I hope you enjoy the Govt. .380 very much.

If you are concerned with wear of bluing on a carry gun, you might want to decide if you want to carry it at all. Using and carrying a gun in any holster will cause wear of the finish. Having said that, stay away from Kydex. It wears finish off guns like sand paper. I think there are now Kydex holsters offered that are leather or suede lined. That should help. I don't like plastic holsters because I find them utterly uncomfortable.
I'd look into a leather IWB holster from Ken Null, Greg Kramer, Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen, or Matt Delfatti. Luckily, there are more good custom holster makers around now then there ever was before. I haven't listed all of them above. Some of them also offer suede lining in the holsters to slow down finish wear. One of them even speaks to the subject on his website, basically saying...if you you carry a gun in any type of holster you are going to wear off finish to some degree or another.

    Good luck. Enjoy the Colt.

    Congratulations on your fine Colts.

    They are both excellent selections.

I used to have the stainless version of that gun. It carried very well in a Don Hume JIT Slide.
