    Collection is growing

    Acquired these last week:

    First edition Gold Cup Commander




    Transition model combat commander (series 70 with series 80 serial #)

    When I got to that Commander, my heart stopped for a second. An older commander is the only 1911 that would interest me. Then I saw the .44. My favorite caliber which compete's with the .45 Colt off and on is .44 Special. And I'm partial to 7 1/2" nickel ever since "Shane" made get my first one. Are those hard rubber grips numbered to the gun? Unusual if they are.
    That was a very productive week.
