Nice little gun, and I am glad you got what you wanted back.
Had one when I was 17 or so,sold it to an acquaintance for $90-$30 more than I paid for it.I thought I'd made a killing but literally regretted it ever since.I missed that pistol, until my old pal Charlie pulled this out of the safe & decided he didn't need it anymore. It was a close one-he took it to a little local show but didn't sell it. He hadn't heard my sad tale of unrequited gun lust-must have hurt too much to talk about. He mentioned his failed effort, saw my eyes widen
in disbelief & we quickly sealed the deal.We both think the green leatherette case is original & the thumb rest grip indicates, I believe,post-1968 importation.I checked the inflation calculator-1969 to 2010-& I made out pretty well.42 years later, lust sated, here it is.

I've got a Mahurhin PP in 32acp from about 1954. Great Euro Police trade in imported from Interarms. Workmanship is unlike anything today.
After shooting a freinds Walther .22 I knew I wanted one of the type in .380 so I got an Interarms PPK/S. I love the little thing and it shoots great the one time I took it out. I'm glad you filled that empty spot in your heart.

here is mine.
i was talking w/a recently widowed young lady that was married to an elderly man. she was selling his rc airplane collection and i asked if he had any guns she wanted to sell. she brought out a franchi 12 gauge ahotgun and this lnib walther pp .22.
she said she wanted $180 for everything. i ended up selling the shotgun for $150.
one of the sweetest deals i have ever made.walther pp .22.JPG
My freind who turned me on to Walthers when we shot his .22 has had it for more than 20 years and it has grips like yours with that thumbrest. But he's left handed and has tolerated it all this time and couldn't find a new pair without that thumbrest which jabs him in the left palm. I went home, got on the computer, and found a pair on e-bay for a few bucks and had it sent to his house. It took five minutes. He was ecstatic!
Great gun, great story. Thanks!
That's a beauty and I'm glad to hear it's back home again! Outstanding! I love shooting my Walther PP Sport .22!
