My Dad shot his first deer with an old Marlin .30-30 back when he was about 14. Still has it. If I think of it I will take some pictures of it at Christmastime when I'm home. It's a really beautiful old gun

Can't believe there isn't a 39 or 39A in there somewhere??

I don't believe we have discussed them, but I'm glad to see we share the Marlin fever!
The very first gun I ever bought, a used Marlin 1894 .357 Magnum. My dad cut the barrel down to 16" for me (recrowning the muzzle and front sight dovetail by hand with small files) and I refinished the stock with Linspeed oil and removed the white spacer in the buttstock:
Marlin 39M .22 s, l, and lr that I still love to shoot!
My .44 Magnum 1894 that my dad also cut to 16" for me. I also did the stock again and installed a saddle ring. My best friend blueprinted the Marlin lever and his dad's Winchester John Wayne commemorative's lever, overlayed the blueprints, and then fed them into his company's CAD/CAM machine. Out came a Marlin lever with the John Wayne big loop and it dropped right into my gun! I had this gun engraved by Michael Gouse and it's currently at Turnbull Manufacturing having the frame, bolt, and lever color case hardened. I'm also having the "warning" removed and barrel and mag tube reblued. It also sports a leather buttstock cover that holds extra rounds and is engraved with a mountain lion:
My Marlin 336 .35 Remington Scout Rifle. 16" again cut by my dad with a Leupold Scout Scope:
I used this one to take my red wild boar in Tennessee. I purpose built this Marlin just for wild boar and it worked perfectly!
I also have a Model 36 .30-30, an 1895 .45-70, a 1973 (only year they made them ) 1894 Octagon in .44 Magnum, and a 1906 Marlin 1894 .44-40 I need to take photos of....
