Since I was taking pics of my nice little nickel Christmas gifts, I decided to drag out the other nickel Smiths and the nickel Colts for a group photo.

Wisdom does not come with age. It`s just that as you get older you become less physically capable of acting stupid.

Love that nickeled New Service .45! Hardly ever see nickled NSs and NEVER in that condition!
"thecoltguy" here has an ivory handled nickel N.S. that is much better than mine. And that's saying a lot because mine is about 95% (but I'm rotten at judging %). Might as well show a couple more shiney ones. These guns bring out the pimp in me.
Rechromed 40 lb. Great Western .22..
Short .45 just like James West carried..
Here it is again with a holster i made 25 yrs. ago.

Mr Wyatt, that 39smith is outta this world gorgeous, as are your other fine firearms, thanx for sharing em, and Happy New Years to all.
45acp,because shooting twice is silly.
I don't have a lot of nickel guns. The desire for nickel guns was an affectation that possessed me in my youth. When I was 12 or 14 I used to dream of owning nickel Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers. A special dream of mine was a 6-inch Smith & Wesson Model 57 .41 Magnum. Later I grew up and came to loathe nickel as a finish, thinking it was tacky.
Stuck a photo up of this sad Smith & Wesson Military & Police from 1904 the other day. Here it is being put to work and showing what it can do despite the nickel plated teensy U-notch rear sight and thin nickel plated front sight.
Here's a nickel 4-inch Smith & Wesson Model 19 in amongst some more Smith & Wesson .357 Magnums around here.
And last year, after nearly 40 years, I indulged the whim of my youth when the 6-inch nickel Smith & Wesson Model 57 finally showed up. I guess I'm reverting to my childhood in my dotage as I like nickel again and see a few more nickel guns in my future.
