A "silver" medallion on a "Gold" Cup?

It hasn't been fired yet!

I fear that until a select few can profit from not treading on me, nothing will change.

Dunno, looks superb to me
Kind of looks like it says Series 90. What's up with the stamp?
"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

The stamping isn't double stamped and on close inspection its just overstamped a bit, like many of the later generation roll stamps are. The "8" looks ok on close inspection.
But....the problem is with the roll stamp - its crooked. It is angled higher in the front than the back. It isn't too noticable unless someone points it out. This gun was probably made during the dark days at Colt, because it seems to have been missed during the QA inspection. I haven't seen one like this before, has anyone else?
I like it though, because it gives it a little character. I don't think Colt would do anything about it anyway...
