I was in my backyard, testing a new camera.....

It was cold outside too, still below freezing. With all the rain and snow we had in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that I had new things growing. All the yard stuff has been winterized, (You know put away so I don't remember what I have to do come spring).

Anyway, I am puzzled at what caused this strange outcropping to occur, maybe it's all the manure I spread around ?

anyway I got out my horticultural book and began identifying them.....

I guess they just popped-up like Mushrooms or something after a Rain!

I guess the next question then, is just what kind of Manure do you use!

I don't know what you actually call it, but It has a green tint to it.

There is plenty of manure in this thread.

Thanks for the good laugh, Kid Sopris, and the great photos!

Hmmm, Pennsylvania was known as the mushroom capital of the US at one time, maybe still is.
I think I should check the corners in the hand dug basement of my 1896 house. Maybe some of the stuff growing in Kid's backyard will crop up?

The camera seems to be working fine, Kid.

It does look a little like a fungus growth. Send me the one on the far right and I will run it through my whatizit comparator and analyze the results.....

Kids got a way of making any camera look like it takes great pictures... He puts great things in front of it. Even the dang fence behind the guns is nice I'd say it might have a Colt medallion branded into it somewhere... lumber is straight, tight, and unwarped...(unlike mine). I digress. Nice crop of lever actions.
