I dunno, I use 158 gr. bullets at about what were standard velocities.
For the 2nd issue det. spl. (without barrel shroud) I have found that they generally shoot 148 grain hollow base wadcutters with 3 grains of red dot close to point of aim out to 15 yards.I use 140 grain hornady hpxtp with 4 to 4.4 grains bullseye for carry loads which also closely match Poi as the wadcutters.
For the 3rd issue det. spl.(with barrel shroud) I have found that they shoot to poa only with 125 grain hornADY HPXTP WITH 4.4 TO 4.8 GRAINS OF BULLSEYE. THEREFORE I DONT BPRACTICE MUCH WITH THE WADCUTTER loads with the 3rd issue.
Has anyone noticed this difference between the 2nd and 3rd issue detectives?
Is it possible that the 3rd issue snubs were made to shoot the 125 grain and the older ones for the 140/148 grain bullets?
I dunno, I use 158 gr. bullets at about what were standard velocities.
Sincerely,
