    Python,D.S.,357,1911 group test

Shot the above on my measured(oddball) 23 yard range.
Here are the results from best group to worst group considering the outermost holes: All shots from hands resting on sandbags.
    Colt 357-2"

    Python- 2 1/2"

    Detective special-3"

    1911-6 1/2"

    Below are pics.
comments: The 357 was best of all . the DS wasnt that far behind the python. The 1911 was by far the worst but I cant blame the gun for inherent inaccuracy, because the trigger I found out afterall, was like most semi-autos I've shot- very poor- and the sights certainly not that good for target shooting.Still it is the best looking 1911 Ive seen and it has never had a malfunction even though new right out of box. Some say it takes 200 rounds or so to "break in a 1911 so it doesnt stovepipe or jam up. Not so with this one Its good to go right from the box.

Do you handload? If so try 230 gr. ball ammo and try using Bullseye powder. A large outfitter who sells alot of powder and supplies Camp Perry told me that Bullseye out sells all other powders 10 to 1 for the 1911. I use it in my Kimber and my Sig with no complaints. Accuracy is excellent also. Just my 2 cents
To Each His Own and PUGA MAHONE!
