I've had varying degrees of success with chemicals to "prevent" leading. The best usually make it easier to clean. The others are a waste of money.

It makes more sense to match appropriate bullet hardness to chamber pressure to reduce leading in the first place. Low hardness with high pressure will give leading from high shear at the bore/bullet interface. High hardness with low pressure causes gas blow-by in the forcng cone that results in bullet melting which causes leading. The Cast Bullet Association gives tables and formulas for approximate pressure ranges that will minimize leading for a given Brinnel hardness bullet.
