    4 or 6 in. barrel

The longer barrel makes it easier. I don't know if the diamondback was really made for bulleye match shooting but my 3rd model match target woodsman has shot a 1 in group off hand at 25 yards when I was younger. My pre-war officers model could probably do it but I don't believe I am as steady as I was 25 years ago. So at 32 yards and with a bench rest how about 2 inches, 5 shots and with match ammo?

The last one I shot put all six rounds into a 1" paster at 25 yards with room to spare.

Thanks Guys. I just bought a diamondback 4". It is beautiful not a mark on it( but from 1980). I always wanted to get one in .22 and 4 inch. It had the box and papers with it and for under 1200$ I took a chance and bought it. I think I got spoiled with the officers model match 22's. The diamonback just isnt as accurate. I measured the barrel/cylinder clearance and its right at .008" which is the max. The omm's are actually under min. (.002) that seems to matter alot witgh .22's. But I just love the looks of the diamondback. trigger pull is 4.8 lbs (average vs. 3.8 with the OMM's)
I will hone the trigger pull a little and that may help.

I measured the groups. The best was 2 1/2 "at 32 yards with CCI mini mag LRHP's. The worst was 4 1/2 " with subsonic REM LR's.. These were with 6 shots each.

I've had pretty good luck with Federal Target - I haven't tried their Match ammo.
