I tried these .22 LR's in my colt diamonback and officers model match and wasnt overly impressed. They shot good but Federal 22 lr shot the best group in those revolvers.
Last weekend I tried them in my old Kimber bolt action rifle that my Dad gave me years ago. I was very impressed. The Wolf ammo shot the best group of all I tried CCi,rem, winch.,Fed, they all shot very good groups but the Wolf shot 1 ragged hole at 25 yards. I could easily cover the 5 shot group with a dime.
The Wolf match target ammo is GREAT in this rifle. Now I see why people are raving about this ammo. Apparently in RIFLES, it's remarkable.
One possible answer is the difference in head spacing determined by the rim thickness. When we had a .22 club, we would sort the .22 ammo using a rim gauge into three groups. Neither group would outshoot the other, but you had to separate into groups to tell that. If you mixed up the ammo, your target would get to looking like it had been shot with a shotgun.

My brother shoots some sort of .22 benchrest competition. He said nearly all the shooters he competes with use Wolf. Must be some good stuff, especially for what it costs a brick....I'll just keep plinking beer cans with whatever is on sale at the big box store when I need it, though.
Wolf Extra Match .22 Long Rifle ammo is actually the same as SK Match, made by Lapua but branded as Wolf and about 1/2 the price of SK. As others have said, it depends on what your gun (rifle) likes. I use it in a Remington 511 for smallbore silhouette matches. I also got great groups in a Mossberg 144 LSB but it wouldn't extract reliably. The underside of the cartridge rim is slightly rounded rather than flat and the Mossberg"s extractor can't get a good grip on it
