    Question Dumb question (maybe)

I don't reload, reading some posts about a gun blowing up in another section made me curious. Given the same charge of the same type powder wouldn't a heavier bullet produce more pressure then a lighter one?

I believe the answer is YES . You will see in the loading data books that heavier bullets get less grains of the same powder as lighter bullets do. To push the heavier bullet out the barrel,it takes more energy(to get the same velocity).Of course given the same (type) bullet.
