    Conversion chart

I just dug this up on line and figured it might be a good resource.
I was trying to figure out if I can shoot a 32 S&W round in a Colt Pocket Positive,
in 32 Colt New Police. I think so.......

Someone might be interested in the fact that the .32 Short Colt is essentially the same cartridge as the European .320 Revolver cartridge, a common chambering for many small Belgian revolvers. The .320 Revolver is not found today outside of cartridge collections, whereas the .32 Short Colt can be found, so those of you with a .320 chambered revolver can get the old thing shooting again (as I did).

While you can fire the 32 S&W in that Colt I would rather fire the 32 S&W Long. It has more power and if you get into reloading, they are easier to handle than the mini 32 S&W. Case dimension wise, the 32 S&W long was identical to the 32 Colt New Police.

" CONVERSION " is not the right name for that chart. I " converted " nothing to shoot 32S&W and 32S&W LONG in my S&W 32MAG sixgun yesterday; same with the 38SPL cartridges i shot through the 2nd GEN COLT NF yesterday, nor the 44RUSSIAN cartridges I burned up in a wonderfully shooting COLT SAA 44SPL.
SOOOOOO....let me think....I'm not too sure but " interchangability chart " does not sound too keen either. Someone else jump in here and come with a CORRECT name for a useful chart for the new guys.

    How about "Useability Chart"
    Rick

I fear that until a select few can profit from not treading on me, nothing will change.

The Remington catalogs of the 1960's-1980's and maybe later published a "Interchangeability Chart". Very nice useful chart. Need we look further?
