    Cyl. throats?

Hello, everyone. Yesterday..only day off..had every intention of heading out to range..but after working outside on car for about 1/2 hour..fingers almost froze & cold raw wind blowing..decided to stay in and catch up on reloading..(must be getting soft!).
Anyway, I finished making up some test loads for my 1903, 7 1/2" Bisley .32WCF. I had loaded extra, for the other .32WCF Bisley I bought earlier this year...and have yet to shoot!, a flattop target made in 1906. The bullet I am using is Lyman 3118 cast from range scrap.
As usual I did it backassward..as an afterthought..I finally got around to checking chamber throats on the target model. They measured right on at .3105". As luck would have it, the std. 1903 is .3115". One lousy one thousandths difference!
Just to cover all the bases..I sized bullets to .3105"..will try the larger ones in it to see if I get any leading. The .3115" bullets shoot so nice In the 1903, I am hesitant to size them to .3105". Maybe I should just get a .311 die?
Guess I'll have to wait for a nice sunny range day to find out for sure.

What is the rest of your load recipe? I have a Colt Army Special .32-20. The bore slugs .312 and the cylinder throats are .314. I just got a Lyman 3118 mold and am hoping for better results than I'm getting with Hornady .314, 90gr LSWC's (90gr) and some other 115gr LSWC's that also measure .314. I think I need a .313 bullet...

I have 4 Colt 32-20s ranging from a 1907 NA/N to a 1912 Bisley and 2 AS, 1919/1922. I cast the 3118 and size to .313. The mold dropped a little small when I got it, it is an old Ideal SC, I lapped a little out of it and now it drops beautiful boolits and the .313 works well in all my 32-20 Colts. The trigger on the Bisley is a handicap but it still shoots really good.
