    Question two new inquiries

I have been using a Hornady press and powder dispenser as well as the electronic scale that came with the kit. I also have a balance beam scale that I use. What I have noticed is that with the lighter powder charges for 38spec I have a hard time getting the powder dispenser to consistently drop the same charge. Any suggestions as my next set of reloads will be for my daughters 25auto which I suspect will use even less powder. So how does one get such small charges to drop the same weight of powder every time?
Also my electronic scale will only weigh in even increments once the charge weight is less than 5grains. My balance beam scale is great at higher charges but seems to be a bit inconsistent at the lower charges as well. Recs?

Do you have the small rotor for your powder measure?

As far as the electronic scale goes, unless you are at the max powder charge that extra tenth of a grain one way or the other won't make any difference.....Some guys get wrapped around the axle trying to get powder drops to the exact tenth of a grain. There is no need for that precision unless you are a benchrest shooter.

I've only had a balance beam scale act up if it were dirty. You can clean the contact points with a que tip & rubbing alcohol. I have one I've used for years & it's accurate even if weighing 1/10s of a grain.
As Coltsnakes suggests most powder measures have two rotors. The Lyman #55 comes to mind as the exception, The small one probably should be used with all handgun loads.
