HAVE YOU given ANY thought to the vagaries of a .308" OD bullet bouncing down a .312-.314" bore ? THERE is a good chance you'll be money ahead and save propellent and primers by shooting those bullets from a WHAM-O slingshot.....maybe...
Have a 32 DS, and a few thousand 115 gr FMJ, left over from when I used to load for the M-1 carbine, and I was wondering about using TB, in order to get better quality control over the powder dispensing for the 32 NP case.
It's really hard to maintain accuracy in dispensing when trying to measure 1.7 or so grains of Bullseye, and I thought that maybe TB bulking a bit more than BE, a couple of tenths of a grain deviation wouldn't be quite so noticeable.
I'm figuring the 115 gr FMJ, even though it is a bit heavy for the 32, it being 4 or 5 thousandths smaller would allow for the extra weight, and would be a good plinking round . . .
There's still plenty of 3-F and 4-F Goex left over from when I used to shoot front-stuffers, and have been thinking about trying some of it -- don't exactly relish the idea of shooting black in the DS, but it is an option. . .
Anyone have any thoughts on the matter ? ?

...oh yeahhh, do not use those left-over FMJ M1 Bullets in your .32 DS Revolver Ammunition.
Even if they were not too small for the Bore, they are entirely a wronh kind of Bullet and would offer way too much resistence, causing possibly very bad spikes in Pressure, compared to plain Lead.
Get proper plain Lead Bullets, sized right for the Bore...and use those.
Trail Boss is not likely the best choice...but, I do not know off the top of my head what Powder would be, for that Cartridge and application.

I load for a 32 in a PPS, same gun, different barrel length. I cast the Lee 93 gr. RN, it drops 95 gr. with my alloy. I size to .313, load over 2.5 gr. of Bullseye or 2.4 gr. of Trail Boss. The cartridge is accurate, effective and a lot of fun. I use the same load in a S&W 31-1 and in 2 different PP Colts. Good round, good bullet/powder combinations in several guns.
Thanks for the input, guys -- I'm digesting all of it . . .
MM, how much bulk is there in the 2.4 gr of TB ?
Would it be more/less than a 32 ACP case-full ?
I was thinking about soldering a piece of #12 copper onto a 32 ACP case and using it for a dipper . . .
2.4 TB will be very close to the base of the RN cast boolit that I have come to prefer for the 32 Long. I recently came into possession of a long discontinued Ideal 313226; it is the original mold for 32 S&W Long, haven't taken the time to set up and try it, should drop at 95 gr. as advertised. My experience with heavy bullets in 32 Long was less than favorable. The cartridge was initially issued with bullets of less than 100 gr., I save my heavier bullets for 32-20 and the new 327 FM.
