    official police .22 range report

official police .22 circa 1939, with "T" over the ser. no., 25 yards with sand bag arm rest. the best group was the federal automatch, it measured 2 1/2", the trigger on this revolver is wonderfull, i don't own a .22 target model, but i would be very surprised if the action was better than this gun.

cci wasn't bad and actually looked the best if you discount the flier.
looks like great shooting to me.
imagine those holes as .45 caliber and they would be almost touching.

Beautiful prewarOP; I have a postwar 50's vintage .22 OP that is one of my favorites and almost always seems to find its' way everytime to the range with me. At 25 yards the groups that it produces are outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, fitz2..Thats a nice revolver. Try some match ammunition in it..In my 7 1/2" Bisley, I found Lapua groups in 1/2" at 25yds.

There is nothing like a vintage Colt revolver. We had a Personal protection Class at our gun club last week and my pard brought in 2 nice Army Specials, one on .38 Special and one in .32-20. He also had 2 very nice Official Police revolvers in the same calibers. We have vintage handgun matches and any one of the four handguns he showed me, would be a good choice for the events.

Nice looking .22 OP you have! This one falls in at 1937. I gave it to my son and grandson a year or two ago. They still bring it over and let me shoot it some...with my .22 ammo of course.
